BAY OF TEARS

This treacherous waterway was aptly named, both for its salt water and the effect it has on sailors. The weather in the bay is notoriously unpredictable, and can go from calm seas to a raging tempest in less than an hour. For this reason, most ships travel full sail and top speed through the bay, and it is not uncommon for sailors to stow their ships at any shore – whether or not a dock is even present.
